Another preparation we have been busy with is our website! We have a terrific team working to re-imagine our website. Wisconsin Breech Conference
Gail and Approved Trainer Nicole Morales, CPM, head over to the Madison, WI “Breech Conference” on November 9-10. Doctors, nurses, and midwives learn skills to feed their passion for returning breech skills to the Midwest United States. Midwife Cynthia Caillagh, CPM, organized the conference and invited Gail to offer post-conference workshops for Midwives on Spinning Babies, Resolving Shoulder Dystocia and Breech which are offered as a single event to Wisconsin midwives and providers attending the conference. If public tickets open up we’ll post the registration to all providers in the area.

Birth Tip
Parents are coming to our Spinning Babies® Parent Classes to learn comfort measures and helping labor go smoothly. They learn how and when to do techniques for pregnancy and birth. Birth positions for opening the top of the pelvis.
Posterior Pelvic Tilt
Flattening the lower back brings the top of the sacrum further back. This position, called posterior pelvic tilt, moves the sacral promontory back out of the way of the baby’s head. A posterior pelvic tilt, or contra-nutation of the pelvis increases the size of the top of the pelvis. Make room in the inlet to help a baby engage with each contraction for ten contractions. Relax your back in between contractions.
Rest Smart/Move Smart are Spinning Babies® terms for maternal positioning, a concept describing pregnancy and birthing positions for birth givers. Rest Smart/Move Smart helps you understand that birth positions are more than gravity and comfort, but that “smart” birth positions open the pelvic diameter where babies wait for more room.
Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator Training
Become a Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator to teach our structured Spinning Babies® Parent Class in group and one-on-one education. Spinning Babies Parent Educators are listed on SpinningBabies.com, and use Spinning Babies curriculum to teach pregnant parents. Enhance your established childbirth education offerings with a Spinning Babies® Parent Class module. Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educators may promote themselves and their services using the Spinning Babies name, logo, and designation on their website.
