Kiyoe started her career as a registered nurse in Japan. She then worked as a maternal and infant health specialist in humanitarian settings in Africa and Southeast Asia for more than a decade. After attending her first birth doula workshop in 2014, Kiyoe discovered her new mission to support birthing persons and their families during their life-changing journey from pregnancy to early parenthood. She serves families as a doula, childbirth educator and yoga teacher in New York City.
