Oglebay Park is located in the northern panhandle of West Virginia, in Wheeling. Oglebay is a unique 1,700-acre, year-round resort with exceptional beauty and abundant recreational activities all in one place! Wilson Lodge is within walking distance from the cabin you will be staying in and offers: The West Spa, several dining options, an indoor pool, jacuzzi, sauna, fitness center, and business center.

Oglebay Park also has 4 golf courses, eight specialty shops, a zoo, gardens, two museums, fishing, pedal boats, tennis, stables, and miles of walking trails. Don’t feel like leaving your cabin after each training day? Enjoy the beauty Oglebay has to offer all in the comfort of your own cabin! Connect with other attendees by the fireplace, enjoy nature while sitting on one of the balconies, take a stroll down one of the many trails surrounding your cabin, and much more!

ACCOMMODATIONS

Room Accommodations:

Lodging is included with your registration! Attendee rooms will be located within the West Wing of Wilson Lodge. The newly renovated two-floor West Wing features Preferred Rooms. Guests can expect upgraded amenities, refrigerators, private balconies or patios, and easy access to elevators. These rooms are available with two queen beds or one king bed. The Deck on the West Wing is perfect for relaxing or making s’mores over one of the fire pits. After successfully registering for the workshop, you will be emailed a Welcome Packet that includes further details about your accommodations, along with additional items you will need to complete.

Meals:

Catered lunch will be provided for all attendees during each day of the workshop. Light refreshments and snacks will be offered throughout the day.

Check in the day before the training starts on October 20, 2024 at 4:00 PM EST.
Check out on October 24, 2024 at 8:00 AM EST.

On the last day of the training, October 24, 2024 all attendees will bring all items from their rooms to the training room. We have a locked storage area for you to place your belongings. Your items will be kept in the locked storage room until the end of the training on that day.

Spinning Babies® will complete your room reservation and will email your lodging details to you no later than September 23, 2024. 40 registration seats will be open for this event and are completed on a first come first serve basis. If you have any questions please email spbcpe@spinningbabies.com.

Please note that lunch times will be provided to you in your workshop manual the first day of the event. Short breaks will be taken throughout each day as well, and the instructors will review this with you on the first day of the workshop. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation or substitution accepted under restricted conditions.

$200 USD fee for cancellations before June 4, 2024 .

$400 USD fee for cancellations before June 13, 2024

NO REFUND ON OR AFTER June 14, 2024.

Spinning Babies® works to champion access to normal physiological birth to all parents and providers to reduce disparities in outcomes among non-dominant communities. APPLY & REGISTER

Step 1. Fill out the registration form linked in the bottom of this page.

Step 2. Receive your confirmation email that includes your Welcome Packet and Aware Practitioner agreement with Spinning Babies®.

Step 3. Once you have signed the agreement, you will receive login information for the Spinning Babies® Community Site.

Step 4. Complete the pre workshop items as outlined in your Welcome Packet.

All steps are necessary for you to attend the Aware Practitioner Workshop.

*Please note all Aware Practitioner Workshop materials are currently only available in English.

HEALTH & SAFETY

The health and safety of everyone attending our training is our highest priority. We are taking preventative measures for all of our workshops to reduce the transmission of COVID-19, but we cannot eliminate all risks. Each participant is responsible for their health and safety within the workshop group. Our safety measures include, but are not limited to, making sure all participants are monitoring themselves before and during the event. 

Please be sure the following statements are true:

  •  I am not experiencing any symptoms of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.
  •  I do not believe I have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.
  • I have been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and I have been cleared as non contagious by state or local public health authorities.
