Traditional childbirth education often focuses on coping mechanisms and birth interventions. Spinning Babies® centers the pregnant body’s physiology and the baby’s active role in birth. Instead of managing labor, our approach encourages balance, mobility, and space within the body, allowing birth to unfold with greater ease.
Spinning Babies® draws on decades of midwifery experience, current anatomical and physiological understanding, and emerging research. Our approach emphasizes creating conditions where the natural process of birth can proceed with fewer complications. Hospitals and care teams around the world are incorporating Spinning Babies® principles to improve birth outcomes. You can learn more about the clinical research behind Spinning Babies® methodology here on our research and references page.
Completion of a Spinning Babies® Foundational Workshop is a prerequisite for attending many of our advanced trainings, including the Integration Workshop, Certified Parent Educator Training, and Aware Practitioner Training.
To complete this step, simply register for an upcoming Foundational Workshop. Spinning Babies® Approved Trainers offer these workshops worldwide, both in one-day (7 CE hours) and two-day (13 CE hours) formats. Workshops are available in various regions and languages to meet the needs of our global community.
Visit the Foundational Workshop page to find a location near you and reserve your spot. We recommend completing your Foundational Workshop before applying to any advanced program to ensure you meet all eligibility requirements.
