About this role:
Spinning Babies® is seeking a Marketing Generalist with proven experience delivering impactful consumer communications, and driving growth, for small to medium size businesses. The ideal candidate will excel at creating, executing and optimizing marketing campaigns across multiple channels including email, web, and social media. We are looking for a creative self-starter that is motivated to build and potentially manage a high performing marketing team for a purpose-led organization.
Availability and Location:
This is an independent contractor position, estimated for between 24 and 32 hours per week. Business hours are 9 am-5 pm Central Standard Time M-F, it is our preference that some of the working hours are in this timezone and regular meetings with team members are be held during these hours. Attendance of weekly meetings each Thursday at 11am CST is essential. The company is based in Minnesota, and team members primarily deliver services virtually. This is predominantly a remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategic
- Execute audience research & segmentation
- Conduct competitive research
- Identify opportunities and threats
- Create channel strategy
- Outline marketing tactics
- Create content strategy
Content Creation
- Written content
- Write social media copy (ad hoc tasks that sit outside copywriter scope)
- Review copy provided by copywriter (emails, website, social media)
- Graphic content
- Create images for social channels
- Create infographics for social channels
- Video content
- Storyboard and create stories for social channels
- Storyboard and create reels for social channels
Content Scheduling
- Create content/editorial calendar
- Manage content/editorial calendar
- Schedule emails and social posts
CRM Management
- Own and organize customer data
- Create and manage lists in company databases
- Create email sequences in Ontraport
Community Management
- Respond to comments on Instagram, Linkedin and Facebook pages
- Support the team in nurturing the communities inside FB Groups
Demand Generation
- Design and create funnels
Advertising
- Plan and execute social media ad campaigns
Metrics/Data
- Regularly collate and analyze
- Email performance data
- Funnel performance
- Social media stats
- Use data from across the marketing spectrum to inform future marketing plans
Team
- Collaborate with other departments and individuals on projects and tasks
- Attend weekly operations meetings and provide input on relevant projects, where required
- Provide bi-weekly marketing updates to Leadership
- Provide input into future marketing hire job descriptions
Desired Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 5+years experience working in Marketing & Communications
- Demonstrable experience working for small to medium sized businesses, driving sales and growth
- In depth knowledge of current and future social media, content and general marketing trends and best practices
- Adept with using tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, Ontraport, WordPress
- Knowledge of SEO and keyword research is a plus
- An entrepreneurial spirit, tenacious and a go-getter attitude
- Consumer focused with a desire to offer authentic value in exchange for their investment in Spinning Babies®
- A creative thinker that appreciates the beauty in a spreadsheet as well as a carefully crafted reel

Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation is between $30 to $37 per hour dependent on experience

Spinning Babies® is seeking a Copywriter with experience crafting impactful consumer communications. The ideal candidate will excel at writing and editing a variety of content across website, social media and email and have an understanding of the nuances across platforms and the necessity to tailor for each. The right person has a desire to continually raise the bar in consumer communication in order to genuinely be of service to our audience as well as drive action.
Availability and Location:
This is an independent contractor position, estimated for between 12 and 16 hours per week with more hours expected in the first month in order to onboard appropriately. Business hours are 9 am-5 pm Central Standard Time M-F. It is our preference that some of the working hours are in this timezone and regular meetings with team members are be held during these hours. The company is based in Minnesota, and team members primarily deliver services virtually. This is predominantly a remote position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Advise Leadership team on copy strategy to better connect to our Spinning Babies® audience
- Create/update and evolve style guides/Tone of Voice documents
- Proactively keep on top of trends and developments in digital communications
- Research and understand the needs of the Spinning Babies® audience
- Research and stay current with Spinning Babies® voice in messaging
Content Creation
- Create and revise written content

- Create clear delivery schedules and feedback timelines

Desired Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in journalism, English, communications, or related discipline
- Five or more years of professional copywriting experience, with a solid portfolio of work, preferably in a related field to Spinning Babies®; birth work, healthcare, wellness.
- Proofreading experience
- Exceptional writing and research skills
- A detail-oriented self-starter with strong work ethic and follow through
- Ability to work independently or with a team to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability
Compensation & Benefits

Spinning Babies® is seeking a Director of Business Development with strong skills in business finance and strategy, and experience working the U.S. healthcare system to join our fast-paced company. This role expands the Company Leadership Team to strategize and position the company as it continues to grow through program development and partnerships in the US and internationally. The company is based in Minnesota, and team members primarily deliver services virtually.
Availability and Location:
This is currently an independent contractor position, estimated for 30 hours per week. Business hours are 9 am-5 pm Central Standard Time M-F, it is our preference that a majority of working hours are in this timezone. It is a remote position, with the exception of quarterly leadership meetings, as well as possible trainings, company events, and team gatherings.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide data-driven strategic plans to strengthen current revenue streams and develop future business avenues
- Develop long-term partnership program directly with hospital systems to include training and programming
- Enhance existing products and services through both streamlining organizational efficiencies as well as expanding market potential
- Direct and Manage the company’s finance division to include:
- Maintain accurate financial reports and drive the formalization of financial structures and processes across the company
- Establish clear financial projections and future budgeting needs
- Ensure international tax compliance in alignment with growth of the company
- Manage direct staffing reports including the Accounting Administration Specialist
- Work in close collaboration with the Director of Operations to:
- Create future products, services, and partnerships
- Provide support in managing the operations teams when needed
- Be a thought partner and sounding board in visioning the future of the company
