Learn how to use principles of BALANCE, GRAVITY & MOVEMENT to help your baby enter your pelvis in an optimum position. Learn not only about labor but also how to cope with it. You and your birth partner will also learn how to work with your body using breathing, relaxation, positions, etc. You’ll also learn about complications. medications, and interventions, how to avoid them and what to expect if these are needed. Breastfeeding and how to overcome problems will also be discussed. Learn how to advocate for the birth you want in a positive way with your provider and/or with nursing staff! Birth is a normal, natural event, but WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW CAN SET YOU UP FOR UNNECESSARY COMPLICATIONS AND INTERVENTIONS. Learn to ADVOCATE for yourself w birth professionals. About 5 years ago, I found the Spinning Babies® website and was truly amazed at all that I learned! When the first Certified Parent Educator training was announced, and I couldn’t wait to sign-up.! I found answers to some of the most challenging problems for moms experiencing difficulties during pregnancy, labor, and birth! Learning about the principles and techniques of Balance, Gravity, and Movement has made it possible for me to help expectant moms be better able to get their babies into a better position near the end of pregnancy and during each part of labor and delivery. Knowing what to do when there is a stall in each phase of the 1st state of labor (early, active, transition) as well as during the second stage of labor has really helped me become a much better childbirth educator. It was amazing that I began to see results in the very first class I taught using Spinning Babies® techniques! One mom had a frank breech baby at 34 weeks. In the past, I’d teach knee-chest w movement, ironing board, etc. However, adding FLI, Belly Sifting, & SLR made so much difference in such a shorter amount of time. This mom’s baby turned to a vertex position within 3 weeks of using Spinning Babies®! Learning the reasons for prodromal labor and how to correct the baby’s position have made all of the difference for several of my students. I could go on and on about all of the benefits of the use of Spinning Babies® techniques! My students have really enjoyed how much better they feel after using the Daily Essentials, too. For me, it’s been really rewarding to have better tools to offer my students, and it’s been really fun helping them learn all of the exercises and techniques!
