Cheryl Appleton is a nurse-midwife who provides antepartum OB care in the clinical setting and in-hospital birth services for pregnant people. She is also a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and provides well- and uncomplicated problem-GYN care for people with traditionally female reproductive organs across their reproductive lifespans. She is part of a team of midwives, nurse practitioners, and OB/GYN physicians serving the Hanover/Glen Burnie area of Maryland.
Her special interests include ensuring all people are active and informed participants in their own care, postpartum depression/anxiety, and caring for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Cheryl is a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner and encourages the use of Spinning Babies® maneuvers for creating balance (and often relief of pregnancy-related pain/uncomfortability) in the antepartum period. In addition, she uses Spinning Babies techniques to facilitate optimal fetal positioning in labor.
