Marnellie Bishop (she/her) is a doula, educator, mentor, and systems strategist working at the intersection of birth, business, and justice. Through her private practice, Hānau Doula, LLC, most families connect with her for birth and postpartum doula support and childbirth education. She has supported over 500 families as a birth and postpartum doula and childbirth educator, helping parents approach birth with confidence, information, and agency.
Marnellie is a Spinning Babies® Certified Parent Educator and Hypnobabies® Childbirth Hypnosis Instructor, integrating body-based preparation and mind–body techniques to support physiologic birth and informed decision-making.
She also serves as Chief Finance & Operations Officer, Doula Trainer, and Mentor with Community Doula Alliance, where she focuses on building sustainable systems that help families access care and help birth workers build thriving careers. Her work centers on strengthening access to doula care, ensuring doulas are paid fairly, and designing systems that support the long-term sustainability of birth work.
Marnellie is also available to support organizations, birth workers, and community leaders through speaking, consulting, mentorship, and training focused on birth equity, doula workforce development, and sustainable birth work.
