After completing her bachelor’s degree in Dietetics and Nutrition from The Ohio State University, Dr. Monica became a licensed massage therapist, where she learned the power of Chiropractic. There, she learned about the central nervous system’s amazing ability to control every aspect of our health and body, and how vertebral subluxations can hinder neurological health, from a teacher at her massage school who was a Chiropractic Physician. Dr. Monica decided to do more research.
“After learning about D.D. Palmer’s foundations on Chiropractic principles and philosophies, she enrolled in Palmer College of Chiropractic earning her Summa Cum Laude in a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2006.”
Her last year in school, she became more passionate about prenatal chiropractic techniques while carrying her first child. This led to completing the 200+ hour Certificate by the Academy Council of Chiropractic Pediatrics (CACCP) program through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA). Through the ICPA, she was certified in the Webster Technique and has completed 200 course hours and passed a final exam of the fundamental clinical skills and knowledge pertaining to the care of children and pregnant mothers. A continual student of learning, she has recently completed the Dynamic Body Balancing Certificate, which has added to her facial release techniques. She is also certified as a Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner, a technique that she incorporates into all of her prenatal care. Dr. Monica’s passions and her own life’s journey have guided her career and knowledge on prenatal, pediatric, and holistic wellness Chiropractic care.
