Abigail is a mother, nurse, ocean lover, and a very bad surfer.
Her nursing career began in emergency and trauma care in 2018. Within this role, she unexpectedly witnessed the raw power and beauty of birth, an experience that shifted her path entirely. While she values her emergency training and background, she found she could not ignore her undeniable pull toward birth work and ultimately transitioned to full-time labor and delivery in 2021, where she was introduced to Spinning Babies®. Her emergency background helped her recognize that birth is not inherently an emergency, but a natural, physiologic process that can unfold powerfully on its own.
Abigail is passionate about supporting physiologic birth while safely integrating medical care when it is truly needed. She strives to ensure that birthing people in the hospital setting receive respectful maternity care, access to supportive physiology-based interventions, experience true informed consent, and always know they have Abby in their corner.
She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Nursing as a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), focused on improving maternal morbidity and mortality while protecting physiologic birth, recognizing these priorities go hand in hand.
