Ruby serves the San Diego community as a doula companion and birth and bodywork practitioner. Her services include doula companionship, therapeutic prenatal and postpartum bodywork, and infant / pediatric bodywork.
Ruby believes there is more to symptoms when it comes to expressions of imbalance and seeks to promote balance by nurturing an appropriate relationship with whoever requests the services she offers. Ruby’s prenatal and postpartum bodywork invites the receiver to work with her and participate in their own therapeutic experience. There may be times when the receiver just wants to receive and that is also welcomed. Ruby’s authentic presence and compassionate listening facilitates a safe space to effortless promote healing and nervous system regulation. The art is in the approach and the approach is personalized to meet the needs of the receiver.
Ruby M. Lopez is passionate about the human experience and loves to travel and learn. She is currently a Doctor of Acupuncture and a Chinese Herbal Medicine student at the Pacific College of Health and Science. Ruby is also a certified California Massage Therapist. When she graduates, Ruby will continue her education in Chinese medicine and train as a J.R. Worsley Classical Five Element Acupuncturist. On her free time, Ruby serves San Diego Active Duty servicemembers and families as a volunteer birth doula. She also travels around the world to learn from different practitioners in the healing arts community. Ruby is expanding and refining her touch under the guidance of Carol Gray, CST, Jaime Mossay for prenatal bodywork, and John F. Barnes’ Myofascial Release approach, which is a foundational tool in her bodywork practice.
