Souly Body: Integrated Bodywork & Birth Keeping
Tsadae Neway has been learning the ways of birth-keeping since 1995, when she immersed herself in a home-birth apprenticeship, which opened a portal to study the traditional, wise ancestral birth, healing, and wellness practices. For nearly 30 years, Tsadae has taken on many roles to support birthing bodies and their families, from childbirth education to prenatal and postpartum bodywork, as a doula and a traditional midwife, as a medicine woman and herbalist, and as a ceremonialist. She is a mother of three children, who were all born at home.
Her passion for nurturing vital energy and fluidity of movement in the body began as a child; she was drawn to be a gymnast and loved to dance. She has studied jazz and contemporary styles, as well as folkloric traditions and urban styles of the African Diaspora. Her embodiment is also inspired by Yoga, Da Yen Qi Gung, moving arts techniques, and sound healing, which she integrates into her practice. Tsadae is a certified massage therapist and has been working in the Bay Area in the world of holistic wellness and birthkeeping traditions. She specializes in Prenatal and Postpartum massage and integrates Deep Tissue, Breema, Craniosacral Therapy, Somatic Emotional Release, Acupressure, Ashiatsu, and Neuromuscular therapy. As a Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle Practitioner (FNLP). Tsadae is able to coach clients to get to the root of their health goals and create practices to help them flourish. Her insights about how the body works, moves, heals, and thrives are a reservoir to be shared. Tsadae says, “With vitality, strength, and love, the possibilities are endless. Birth is an emergence and a miracle to witness; it is a portal to the sacred.”
